In celebration of Workers' Day, an annual event marked on May 1, the Federal Government has declared Monday a public holiday. The announcement was made on Friday by the Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola, through a statement by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Shuaib Belgore.
The minister praised Nigerian workers for their hard work, diligence, and sacrifice, which have positioned the country as an icon of greatness among other nations. He emphasized the importance of productivity in achieving both national and individual prosperity and urged workers to prioritize it. Additionally, Aregbesola commended the security agencies for their achievements in the fight against insecurity and encouraged them to continue in their efforts towards eliminating terrorism.
