African Cup might be going out of Africa. United States, China or Qatar could be asked to host the African Cup of Nations in radical changes proposed Wednesday to give the continent's biggest soccer tournament the global exposure it craves. Roger Federer became the first man to win Wimbledon eight times and extended his record to 19 Grand Slam titles with victory over Croatia's Marin Cilic. Eight dead at Senegal football stadium

Eight people have died and at least 49 are injured after a wall collapsed at a football stadium in Senegal. It happened at Demba Diop stadium in the capital, Dakar, at the end of the League Cup final between Stade de Mbour and Union Sportive Ouakam. Appeals Committee cancels election into Athletics Federation board

The election of Ibrahim Gusau as President of the Athletics Federation of Nigeria has been annulled. The annulment was announced on Friday in Abuja by National Sports Federations Elections Petitions Appeal Committee.
