Tinubu returns to Nigeria after trip ‘to meet with investors, finetune transition plans‘ in Europe

Bola Tinubu, president-elect, has returned to the country after a working visit to Europe. Buhari appoints new Accountant-General of Federation

President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of Oluwatoyin Madein as the substantive Accountant-General of the Federation. Madein’s appointment followed a successful selection process to fill the existing vacancy. FG, states, LGs get less for April as FAAC revenues fall by N58.7bn

Federation Account Allocation Committee says it shared N655.93bn among the three tiers of government in April 2023. The figure represents a decrease of N58.7bn compared to the N714.63bn shared in March 2023. FAAC disclosed this in a communiqué issued at the end of its latest meeting in Abuja on Thursday. The allocation shared for April is consistent with the pattern of declines throughout this year. NPC says N200bn spent preparing for 2023 census before postponement

National Population Commission (NPC) says it has spent about N200 billion for the preparation of the 2023 population and housing census. Buhari appoints new chairman for FERMA

FEC approves renaming of aviation ministry, concessioning of Abuja, Kano airports

The federal executive council (FEC) has approved the concessioning of the Nnamdi Azikiwe international Airport, Abuja, and the Mallam Aminu Kano international airport in Kano. The council gave the approval on Wednesday at a meeting presided over by President Muhammadu Buhari. Inflation rises still as food prices push up CPI to 22.22 percent - NBS

CBN pushes financial inclusion with launch of SabiMoniI
