TraderMoni: Dogara accuses Buhari of vote buying

Speaker of House of Representatives, Mr Yakubu Dogara, has condemned distribution of cash to Nigerians by the federal government very close to the general elections. Dogara stated this on Monday during a public hearing organised by National Assembly Joint Committee on INEC and Political Parties Matters on Vote-buying and Improving the Electoral Processes in Nigeria. We’ve devised means against vote buying - INEC

Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has introduced a new measure on ballot paper handling at polling units to check vote buying in 2019 general elections. Its Chairman, Mr Mahmud Yakubu, disclosed this at a public hearing on ‘Vote Buying and Improving Electoral Processes in Nigeria’, conducted by National Assembly Joint Committee on INEC in Abuja on Monday. Yakubu said in 2019 polls, ballot papers would be handed to voters rolled up before they proceed to polling booths to cast their votes. CAN to Nigerians: Don’t vote for desperate politicians

President of Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Mr Samson Ayokunle, on Monday urged Nigerians to avoid desperate politicians by voting only credible candidates in 2019. Obasanjo hits Buhari again, says ‘I’m not neutral’

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo on Sunday denied a report which indicated that he had dropped his support for Peoples Democratic Party’s presidential candidate, Mr Atiku Abubakar.
