Ex-Accord Party Rep candidate, Adegoke joins APC

A traditional chief in Ibadanland, Adegboyega Adegoke, on Sunday, formally announced his membership of All Progressives Congress (APC).

The Ajia Balogun Olubadan who addressed his teeming supporters who thronged his office at Oke Ado, Ibadan, the state capital, to express their fear and concern over a news that he is in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), said he took the decision after series of consultation with his political associates, leaders and supporters across the 33 local government areas of Oyo State.

While thanking his supporters for their concern, he sued for calm, stating that there is no cause for alarm as he remains fully a member of APC in the State.

It would be recalled that Adegoke contested for House of Representatives to represent Ibadan South-West/North West Federal Constituency on the platform of Accord Party (AP) in 2015.

He was also part of those who worked for the emergence of this present administration under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state.

He said, "Few days ago there was a fake news story that I have decided to stay back in PDP.

Nothing could be far from the truth. I am in APC 100 per cent and will remain in APC. Please disregard any rumors or fake news. Just be calm, there is no cause for alarm as victory is certain by His Grace".
