Confirming the attack in Zanwra, President of Irigwe Development Association, Robert Ashi, said the suspected herders stormed the house at about 8:20 p.m. on Sunday.

He said the assailants shot a pregnant woman, Rifkatu Friday; her 7year-old daughter, Ladi Friday, and an octogenarian, Minchwe Gado, to death.

“There was an attack. They entered the house. Around 8:20 p.m. on Sunday June 27,2021, Fulani herdsmen attacked Zanwra village in Jebbu-Miango where three people were killed and two injured who are currently receiving treatment at a hospital,” he said.
