President Muhammadu Buhari, on Thursday, visited Bola Tinubu, a chieftain of All Progressive Congress (APC), in London, United Kingdom (UK).

The President had travelled to London for the Global Education Summit on Financing Global Partnership for Education (GPE 2021-2025), which held on July 29.

Femi Adesina, presidential spokesman, had said Buhari is scheduled for a medical appointment after the summit, and is expected back in the country in the second week of August.

Meanwhile, Tinubu, a former governor of Lagos, has been out of the country for over a month.

Following his prolonged absence from Nigeria, there had been unconfirmed reports alleging that Tinubu is sick and receiving medical treatment in London.

However, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, governor of Lagos, after a recent visit to Tinubu in London, insisted that the APC chieftain was “hale and hearty”.

“I went to see things for myself. It is just to put the minds and hearts of people to rest that there is nothing for us to worry about,” Sanwo-Olu had said.

“A man has discretion as to decide when to go out of the country and when to return. It is his call.”
