A former Secretary to Oyo State Government (SSG), Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli, has declared his victory at the just concluded Oyo South senatorial district election as affirmation of the people's confidence in the All Progressives Congress (APC).

He said this while speaking with journalists at his Bodija, Ibadan residence.

Alli was on Monday declared as winner of Oyo South senatorial district election.

The election was held in all the nine local government areas in the senatorial district.

Alli said his victory was a confirmation of the confidence the people of the senatorial district have in the ruling APC.

Alli in his reaction, noted that the APC would repeat the success it recorded in the just concluded National Assembly and presidential elections at the forthcoming gubernatorial and House of Assembly elections in the state.

The senator-elect explained that he decided to represent the senatorial district so as to make laws that would improve the standard of living of his constituents.

He said, "My victory is an affirmation of the confidence that my people have in APC. It is a confirmation that the people believed in APC.

It is an affirmation of the confidence the people have in APC and its candidates. APC presented the best candidates for the various elections.

"APC will repeat the success we recorded in the National Assembly and presidential elections in the gubernatorial and state House of Assembly elections.

"Our gubernatorial candidate, Teslim Folarin will win the election and our candidates will win the House of Assembly elections.

"I want to assure that I would do everything possible to improve the living standard of the people both at the urban and semi-urban areas. There are lots of things that we will do to improve the living condition of the people of the senatorial district."
