A loyal pet dog from Sichuan province in Southwestern China who has been visiting its owner in the hospital every single day has melted hearts on the Internet

The fur owner fell ill with an undisclosed condition, and since then, the doggo has been making the daily trip to the hospital.

In a video report by Star Video, the dog makes the trip every day accompanied by a family member to a local hospital after its owner became ill, leaning forward in the handrail of the hospital bed and staring at its owner as it snuggles its head on its owner’s body. So sweet, right?

But it's not only that, there's more! During a later visit, the dog was so excited to see its owner getting better and walking around that it started jumping and wagging its tail before pressing its head against her owner.

Although the dog's age is unknown, it has reportedly lived with the elderly woman since it was a puppy, and the two have formed a very close bond.

This story has touched the hearts of so many people on social media, with netizens wishing for the continued recovery of the owner to finally be at home with her pet dog.

'So sweet!'

Some have even commented, "No regrets in life, no regrets in the dog's life." Others have said, "Dogs know everything, they just can't speak."

Others remarked that the dog “is so sweet” while another said, “The caring of children for their parents might not be as intense as pets for the elderly” but one could absolutely feel it, and the way the dog shows its affection to its owner is heartwarming.

One netizen also said that without the owner saying, the dog knew that there was something wrong with its owner and that its owner would need its love and support to recover quickly.

Dog stories in China

Heartwarming stories showing how much pets can care for their owners like this always manage to get the attention of online users in China.

Another story that recently trended on social media is about a rescue dog who did not want to leave the side of its toy teddy bear friend also warmed the hearts of netizens.

In a 35-second video, the dog is seen kissing and licking the stuffed animal, as if saying to its rescuer that its toy friend needs saving too.

As a humourist Josh Billings once said, “A dog is the only thing on earth that loves you more than he loves himself”.
