Nasarawa women protest half-naked over gov election results

No fewer than 1,000 aged women from across the 13 local government areas of Nasarawa State on Monday held a protest in Lafia, the state capital, seeking a review of the recently conducted governorship election in the state. The Court of Appeal in Abuja has upheld the election of Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State. A three-member panel of justices presided by Mohammed Lawal Shuaibu on Friday held that the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate and former governor, Gboyega Oyetola failed to prove allegations of over-voting against the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). Labour Party (LP) candidate, Alex Otti, has been declared winner of the Abia State gubernatorial election.
