APC adopts Gbajabiamila for Speaker

All Progressives Congress (APC) has adopted Mr Femi Gbajabiamila as its candidate for the position of Speaker of House of Representatives in the 9th National Assembly.

APC National Publicity Secretary, Mr Lanre Issa-Onilu, in a terse message posted on the party’s WhatsApp platform on Tuesday night said the position was reached after an intensive deliberation with the APC’s House of Representatives members-elect at a dinner with President Muhammadu Buhari at Banquet Hall of Aso Villa.

Issa-Onilu said Deputy Speaker position had been zoned to North Central.
