Maiduguri blasts: Suicide bombers ‘hugged victims before explosion’

Witnesses in Kaleri suburb of Maiduguri, Borno State, where two female suicide bombers attacked and killed two persons on Sunday, said the attackers hugged the victims first before the bombs went off. The Federal High Court leadership has redeployed 11 judges including – Justice Mohammed Liman in Port Harcourt and Justice Okon Abang in Abuja divisions. Boko Haram attacks Nigerian army base, five soldiers killed - military source

Five Nigerian soldiers and more than 15 Boko Haram fighters were killed when the jihadists attacked an army base in the remote northeast where the group has been fighting for an Islamic state, a military source said on Sunday. Ex-Niger state Governor, Kure is dead

Former governor of Nigeria's North Central state, Niger, Eng. Abdulkadir Kure, is dead. He was aged 60. Kure was governor of Niger state on the platform of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) between 1999 and 2007. Kure, who has been ill and flown to Germany for medical attention, died today in a German hospital. He is survived by his wife, Senator Zainab Kure, who represented Niger state in the Senate of the Federal Republic between 2007 and 2015.
