And when they were come up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught away Philip, that the eunuch saw him no more: and he went on his way rejoicing ~ Acts 8:39.

Introduction:

For long, the Church has known the realm of the spirit as a field of warfare, victory and recovery. However, we need to learn in addition that the Holy Ghost realm is also a realm of supernatural flight. And, we must truly discover this to fully enjoy it.

Without doubt and in all reality, the Christian believers are members of the spirit environment (Hebrews 12:9). But quite unfortunately we carry ourselves as ‘occasionals’ in that realm and behave as tourists and strangers, not as the spiritual commanders that we are. Hence, the demonic sharks show tendencies to prey on us. But, that must stop from today.

We ought to daily live in the spirit realm as our natural habitat, and breath there just like fishes do inside water! We must launch into the deep waters of the Holy Spirit. That is the realm of our Father-God, and that's is the unstoppable dimension of our truest being!

Supernatural flight means soaring to higher heights and accomplishing loftier things in line with our calling by the help of the Holy Spirit. It also means doing well and getting to the next level in whatever we are doing in the will of God. Hence, life remains a mess and a big struggle until it engages supernatural flight. And, a man without covenant flight will not like what he will get, because the devil will display his articles of hostility in such a life (John 10:10).

The good news here is that the Almighty God is ever ready to renew His energy and power within us on our path of destiny (Isaiah 40:31). This is the position of God as He wants it, and the way He made it to be.

Holy Spirit & Destinies

To be sure, the invisible hands steering events on the paths of destiny can be very strange and even multi-directional, and no man can fully explain it. In particular, when it is the Hand of God at work in a man’s life, the experiences can be both reassuring and really exciting. The invisible hands we’re talking about here are the Hands of the Holy Ghost, who installs in us divine engines suitable for our flight.

The Holy Spirit located and handpicked David when he was still a smallish, bushy shepherd boy with no certain address. He was anointed and, strangely, afterwards became David the king (Psalm 89:20-24).

The same was also true in the story line of Joseph the son of Jacob. Against all odds and the backdrop of great hostilities he experienced, Joseph strangely progressed, became famous and very well positioned with spectacular speed. He arose in his time like a meteor among his peers because the Hands of the Almighty God was upon his life (Genesis 49:22-26).

Beloved, this is your life, and you must fly in glory! Today, may you begin to experience the strange Hands of God upon your life and in all your journeys of destiny, in Jesus Name. Amen.

Understanding the Paths Oiled for Strange Flight

In Acts 8:39-40, we are informed that the Holy Spirit caught away Philip as soon as the Ethiopian eunuch was baptised. He “de-materialized”, sort of, and then “materialized” a short while after, and was found at Azotus, preaching in all the cities along the coast.

Meanwhile, any attempt to deny the miraculous nature of Philip's disappearance and reappearance in the story above is pure futility and vanity of the highest degree.

Please take note that Azotus refers to ancient Ashdod, where the Lord proved Himself as a God with no equal (1 Samuel 5:1-12). Thus, Phillip’s miraculous flight must be directly connected to the glory of God, and to the glorious works of the gospel mission.

Importantly, the unique miracle stands out as some sort of a Holy Ghost repetition of what we read of the ancient Prophet Elijah in 1Kings 18:12, 41-46 and 2 Kings 2:1-7.

We are informed in 1 Kings 18:41-46 that Elijah outran King Ahab, who was cruising on his royal chariot. The Lord was with Elijah, and he came under a peculiar influence and a mighty power of His Spirit, and he continued with unabated agility and strength until he overtook the king who was riding upon the horse. No doubt, supernatural flight makes overtaking both a cheap and an easy possibility.

Particularly, the story in 2 Kings 6:1-7 vividly captures the mechanism of supernatural flight as Elijah was described as being taken away “into heaven by a whirlwind”.

Fifty strong men, sons of the prophets, made a fruitless search for Elijah (2 Kings 2:16-18). In compliance with their importunity, Elisha gave them permission, but told them what the result would be: that they wouldn’t find him, because you cannot explain the spiritual by the natural!

The young prophets had seen Elijah's miraculous passage over River Jordan, but they didn’t witness the ascension. They then imagined that he might have been cast by the whirlwind on some mountain or valley. Or, if he had actually been admitted into heaven, they expected that his body would still be somewhere on earth. O, no! They missed it by a wide margin!!

Spiritual things cannot be easily understood, and we should jettison any attempt to explain them away by our mental faculties. Only minds thoroughly drenched in the Holy Spirit and fitted with sharp understanding of spiritual things like Obadiah can quickly grasp them (1 Kings 18:12). Please, let’s all go for this at once; there’s much eternal value in there, to the glory of God!

Flight for New Testament Believers in Christ Jesus

Our main focus in this edition is to affirm that the same truth described above is equally and even more applicable to the New Testament end-time believers in Christ Jesus today (1 Corinthians 15:44-45).

In Apostle Paul’s personal testimony as described in 2 Corinthians 12:2-4, he stated in very clear terms that he was once “caught up into paradise, and heard unspeakable words”.

I must emphasise that this line of revelation is one that makes us major beneficiaries of the invisible mechanism of supernatural flight, covenant progress, strange advancement, supernatural supply, prosperity, safety and every form of supernatural interventions available to the new creation men and women today.

In fact, to underscore the indispensable importance of this truth and to impel us to be given to learning more of its Biblical sense, we must be aware that we will even require this body system flight by the Holy Ghost even at the point of the rapture (1 Thessalonians 4:17).

Friends, in conclusion, I earnestly pray that, on the authority of the name of Jesus Christ, no force from the gates of hell will be able to hold you down any more. And, by the reason of the grace you are attracting as you read this piece, you will outrun those who had run ahead of you, even those upon horses, in the mighty Name of Jesus Christ.

Yes, God will do for you what no man can do for you. Your iron will swim upon the waters. All those who thought you will amount to nothing will see sufficient proof of God’s help upon your life, and they shall be compelled to change their mind. This is your due season for glorious flights, and the zeal of the Lord shall perform it in Jesus’ Name. Amen. Happy Sunday!
