Buharists and the Nigerian condition - Moses Ochonu

The price of kerosene has skyrocketed to N500 even as the product remains scarce in most parts of the country. The price of cooking gas, which was N3000 when Buhari took over, has more than doubled to N7000 in some parts of the country. Of course petrol has almost doubled in price to N145 and they are talking about another price increase.

Response from Buharists: but the Northeast is safer.

The Naira is in free fall, flirting with N500 to the dollar. Dollar scarcity bites and has all but halted economic activity. A woefully mismanaged and chaotic exchange exchange rate regime with as many as five different exchange rates has produced corruption on a massive scale, as well as many lazy, undeserving, but politically favored forex millionaires.

Response from Buharists: but the Northeast is safer.

The economy lies in ruins; over 4 million jobs have been lost since Buhari/APC assumed power; inflation threatens the survival of citizens; hunger, suffering, and death permeate the land.

Response from Buharists: but the Northeast in safer.

Buhari has, instead of fighting corruption, used it as a weapon to decimate his political adversaries, just like his predecessors. He has in fact incubated and nurtured corruption by refusing to act against corrupt members of his administration.

Response from Buharists: but the Northeast is safer. He is doing well on security.

He is doing well on security? What about Southern Kaduna and escalating armed robbery and kidknapping?

Response from Buharists: These are not happening in the Northeast, so they don't count.

Is Buhari only president for the Northeast? Is BH our only challenge?

Response from Buharists: um, um bla bla bla bla.
