General Overseer Worldwide, Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, on Friday visited President Muhammadu Buhari at the Abuja House, London.

Buhari has been receiving medical attention in the British capital since May 7, 2017.

Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina, posted two photographs taken during Adeboye’s visit on his Facebook page.

In one of the pictures, Buhari and his visitor were seated on a sofa while the President appeared to be scanning through a book, suspected to be a gift from the religious leader.

A bag, which appeared to have been used to take the book to the President, was placed between Buhari and Adeboye.

In the second picture, the President and his guest were shaking hands.

Adesina captioned the photographs: “President Buhari receives General Overseer Worldwide, Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, at the Abuja House, London on 18th Aug, 2017.”

Buhari, later on his Twitter handle, @Buhari, thanked the religious leader for his prayers and good wishes.

“I thank Pastor Adeboye for visiting today, and for his prayers and good wishes. May God continue to bless him and his work,” the President wrote.

Adeboye visited the President about 24 hours after President of Senate, Bukola Saraki; and Speaker of House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, had paid him a similar visit.

Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby, had earlier paid a similar visit to the President.

Meanwhile, Saraki on Thursday said that he and Dogara had discussed the 2017 budget and steps to be taken in the preparation of the 2018 budget with the President in London.

Saraki said this in a series of tweets on his official Twitter handle.

The Senate President said they also discussed the virement request of the Presidency, which is currently before the National Assembly.

Saraki described the meeting as a “meeting of substance”, where important matters of state were discussed, including the 2017 budget.

He added, “In particular, we talked about the virement request by the Presidency, which is before the National Assembly. We then considered steps to be taken in the preparation of the 2018 budget to ensure its early passage.

“Mr. President exhibited remarkable recovery and was very conversant with all the political happenings home and across the continent.

“International issues were also discussed and Mr. President informed us that he had conveyed his sympathies to the people of Sierra Leone.”
