South African government seems to be on a damage control mission after the recent xenophobic attacks that were widely reported few weeks ago.

President of the Republic of South Africa, Cyril Ramaphosa, has however delivered a message of apology, through his special envoy, Minister Jeffrey Radebe, to the Ghanaian government.

He apologised to the president and people of Ghana for the recent xenophobic attacks that occurred in South Africa.

President Akufo-Addo, on behalf of the Ghanaian people, accepted the apology in good faith, and urged the South African authorities to bring the perpetrators of the attacks to book as soon as possible.

Most Ghanaians, in reacting to the post, expressed unhappiness about how the attacks were carried out on African nationals.

Meanwhile, hundreds of south African were seen clad in black and red attires having a sort of peaceful march after the xenophobic attacks.

According to commentary from the video, they were having the march to apologise to the rest of Africa for what happened and also use the chance to announce that the country was now safe for anyone who wanted to visit.

They were singing songs believed to be one sending their apologies across Africa for their conduct over the past weeks
