Escaped baboon still within Jos Wildlife Park - State govt

A baboon that escaped at the Wildlife Park in Jos early Monday morning is still within the vicinity of the park, Plateau State government has assured residents. According to the state’s Commissioner of Tourism, Culture and Hospitality, Peter Mwadkon, the beast only escaped from its cage and resisted efforts by officials to return it inside. Vehicle hits people near London mosque, causing casualties

A vehicle struck pedestrians near a mosque in north London early Monday morning, causing several casualties, police said. One person has been arrested. London Ambulance Service says the injured are being taken to hospitals. Eyewitnesses reported seeing police give emergency medical treatment to at least one of the injured. No TRCN certificate, no teaching job - FG warns

Funmi Olaitan, Ibadan Federal Government has vowed not to employ persons without the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) certificate and license in the bid to professionalise teaching in the country. Three feared killed as violence erupts in Taraba communities

Fresh communal clash has broken out in Gembu, Nguroje and other parts of Sardauna Local Government Area of Taraba State. The violence is suspected to be between the Kakas and Fulani ethnic groups. US Navy says bodies of sailors found on ship

The Latest on a U.S. Navy ship collision (all times local): 11:15 a.m. The U.S. Navy says the bodies of sailors who went missing in the collision between the USS Fitzgerald and a container ship have been found aboard the stricken destroyer. N-Power: FG to recruit another 300,000 youths

The Federal Government is set to recruit 300,000 youths in the second batch of its N-Power social intervention and job creation programme. Minister of Information and Culture, Mr Lai Mohammed, disclosed this on Friday in Isanlu-Isin community near Omu-Aran town in Kwara State. Ajimobi flags off N70bn Ibadan Circular road construction
