US demands more security on international flights to US

Homeland Security Department is demanding that airlines around the world step up security measures for international flights bound for the United States or face the possibility of a total electronics ban for planes. Compliance with the new rules could lead to the lifting of a ban on laptops and other large electronics already in place for airlines flying to the United States from 10 airports in the Middle East and Africa. School feeding programme: Oyo appeals to striking food vendors to resume work

Funmi Olaitan, Ibadan Oyo State Commissioner for Education, Prof. Adeniyi Olowofela, has appealed to striking food vendors engaged in the Federal Government primary school feeding programme in the state to resume work with assurance that government will clear all the outstanding arrears this week. Teachers in Oyo protest over LG autonomy

UNHCR to stop providing refugees in Nigeria with financial support

United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, UNHCR, on Wednesday said that it would not continue to provide refugees in Nigeria with financial assistance. Police announce date for recruitment examination

Nigeria Police Force has announced its 5th regular course examination into the Nigerian Police Academy, Wudil. FG fails to implement 18% pension contribution for workers

Three years after the Pension Reform Act, 2014 mandated public and private sector organisations to increase the minimum pension contribution of both employers and employees to the Retirements Savings Account of workers from 15 per cent of the total monthly emolument to 18 per cent; the Federal Government has yet to comply with the law. 23 states owe local govt workers’ salaries - NULGE

Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees, NULGE, says 23 states of the federation currently owe local government workers’ arrears of salary ranging from one to 16 months.
