Two university students drown while taking selfie at school’s lake

Two students of Federal University of Technology, Akure, FUTA, died on Saturday at the institution’s laboratory for fishery and aquaculture, after the canoe they were in capsized. The students were identified as Olabiyi Emmanuel, a 300-level student of the Department of Agricultural and Environmental Engineering, and Olokun Babatunde Alex, a 300-level student of the Department of Project Management Technology. Appeal Court can review National Industrial Court rulings, Supreme Court rules

The Supreme Court on Friday gave a verdict allowing aggrieved persons to appeal decisions of National Industrial Court. Four members of a five-man panel at the court gave the decision following an appeal filed by Skye Bank Nigeria Plc. against a respondent, Anaemem Iwu. Federal Secretariat fire: No serious damage - Health Ministry

Akeredolu to spend N795 million on gifts, donations, guests in 2017

Ondo State government has earmarked a total of N795 million for gift items during festivals and children’s party, as well as hosting of state guests during special events. The amount also covers donations to unspecified beneficiaries. The figures were contained in the budget details passed by Ondo State House of Assembly on Monday, June 19.
