Economic and Financial Crimes Commission says five large sacks of mint-looking local currency have been discovered at a check-in counter at Kaduna International Airport. Ibrahim Bappah with the anti-graft commission's local office said Tuesday the "crispy naira notes" were discovered Monday when a distinctive aroma was detected during routine screening. The owner of the money fled and has not been found. The intended destination of the sacks of cash, worth about N47 million ($155,000), is not immediately clear. Two pages of the tax return were revealed by US TV network MSNBC, triggering an angry response from the White House. It said publishing the tax return was illegal. President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday morning resumed work at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa in Abuja. Buhari had Friday returned to the country, from his medical vacation in the United Kingdom. FCT Minister, Mr Muhammad Bello, said on Monday that work on Abuja light rail project had reached 90 per cent, as most of the rail stations are at their finishing stages.
