Five persons have been reported dead following a clash between Hausa and Yoruba communities in Osun. According to the reports, areas that were most volatile with the clash are the Sabo, Lagere and Olaoluwa areas of Ile-Ife, Osun state. The cause of the clash is yet to be ascertained but reports alleged that some Hausa men were accused of raping and harassing wives of Yoruba men in the Sabo area of Ile-Ife. Former governor of defunct Western State of Nigeria, Robert Adeyinka Adebayo, is dead. Family sources said the 89-year-old died in his sleep. The late Adebayo became governor after Col. The Federal Government has released its economic blueprint termed 'Economic Recovery and Growth Plan' (ERGP) which unveils a road map for the country's economic recovery growth and sustainable development. The Senate has passed a resolution directing the Nigerian Customs Service to halt its plan to penalise Nigerians who did not pay duties on their vehicles within one month. The resolution, on Tuesday, followed a motion by Deputy Leader, Senator Bala Na’Allah, who said the new Customs policy was “a serious matter”.
