My wife controls four govt ministries - Okorocha

How SGF’s company got suspicious N200m payments from ‘grass’ contract

Rholavision Engineering Ltd, a company owned by Babachir Lawal, secretary to the government of federation (SGF), got suspicious payments of N200m from a contract he awarded for the clearing of “invasive plant species” in Yobe state. Troops arrest 'notorious militant General Eagle’

A suspected militant identified as “General Eagle”, has been arrested by the troops of Joint Task Force (JTF), Operation Delta Safe (ODS). Buhari celebrates 74th birthday, salutes Army for colourful parade

President Muhammadu Buhari on Saturday marked his 74th birthday anniversary with a special birthday parade and inspection of the Guard of Honour mounted by the Nigerian Army. NJC recommends sack of two judges

National Judicial Council (NJC) has recommended the dismissal of a judge and the compulsory retirement of another having found them guilty of misconduct. Rising from its 80th meeting held between December 14 and 15, the NJC also resolved to issue letters of “strong warnings” to two judges of the High Court of Lagos State for some unethical conduct. It recommended the dismissal of Justice Ugbo Ononogbo of the Abia State High Court and the compulsory retirement from office of Justice Nasir Gummi of Zamfara State High Court of Justice with immediate effect. Results of 13,488 private candidates, out of the 172,699 who sat for the 2016 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE), have been withheld. Mr Olu Adenipekun, Head of National Office (HNO) of the WAEC, announced this while releasing results of the Nov/Dec diet of the examination on Friday in Lagos.
