Pursue fleeing Boko Haram terrorists, Buratai urges troops

Chief of Army Staff, Lt.-Gen. Tukur Buratai has charged troops in the North East to pursue the fleeing Boko Haram terrorists and intercept them. Buratai gave the charge in a remark shortly before Gov. Kashim Shettima of Borno cut the tape to re-open two major roads in the state that were closed since 2013 at the height of the activities of the insurgents. Two killed as female suicide bombers attack Maiduguri cattle market

Two female suicide bombers on Monday caused heavy explosion outside the gate of Maiduguri cattle market leading to the death of one of them. The second was lynched and eventually died, witnesses and an official said. The deafening explosion thundered across Maiduguri causing panic among residents. Nigeria’s oil reserve now 37 billion barrels – NNPC

Two die as police building collapses in Lagos

Two people were killed when part of a two-storey building in a police training college collapsed in Nigeria's commercial capital Lagos on Sunday, the police and the emergency agency said.
