US billionaire Smith sponsors Chibok girls

An African American billionaire, Robert Smith is sponsoring the education of 24 Chibok schoolgirls in American University, Yola in Adamawa State. The identity of the good Samaritan was revealed today by Malam Garba Shehu, senior special assistant on the media to President Muhammadu Buhari at an interaction with media men in Abuja. A former Governor of Delta, Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan, says those people going to London to see his predecessor, James Ibori, and posting pictures and comments about him, are creating more problems for him. A total number of 4,136 candidates were successful in the just concluded physical verification exercise for the Federal Government N-Power jobs in Niger, an official has said. Harmattan haze forces airlines to make return

Airlines, yesterday, made air returns to Murtala Muhammed Airport, Lagos and other airports across the country after poor visibility, occasioned by harmattan haze, prevented their aircraft from landing in places they were scheduled for. Visibility reduced to less than 40 metres, which is below weather minima and made it dangerous for aircraft to take off. The acceptable weather minimum level is 100 meters. Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority has fined Arik Air N6m over its passengers’ complaints of delay and inability of the airline to ferry their luggage from London to Lagos from the 2nd, 3rd and 4th of December, 2016.
