Retired Supreme Court Justice Karibi-Whyte is dead

Eighty-eight year-old Retired Justice of the Supreme Court, Mr Adolphus Karibi-Whyte, is dead. Gogo, his son who confirmed the death said he died on Friday in Port Harcourt, Rivers State. Scores killed as Pakistan Airliner crashes in Karachi

A Pakistan International Airlines Airbus jet with 99 people aboard crashed into a crowded residential district of the city of Karachi on Friday afternoon after twice trying to land at the airport, a witness said. Covid-19: Quarantine plans for UK arrivals unveiled

People arriving in the UK must self-isolate for 14 days from 8 June to help slow the spread of coronavirus, the government has said. Travellers will need to tell the government where they will quarantine, with enforcement through random spot checks and £1,000 fines in England. Nigeria’s economy may contract up to 8.9 percent - FG

Nigeria’s economy could shrink as much as 8.9% in 2020 in a worst-case scenario without stimulus, Finance Minister Zainab Ahmed said on Thursday, a deeper recession than forecast after oil prices plunged due to the coronavirus pandemic. Ahmed told Nigeria’s highest economic advisory body, the National Economic Council, that the contraction could reach 4.4% in a best-case scenario, without any fiscal measures. Buhari issues amended Executive Order on voluntary overseas asset declaration
