Fayemi appoints Fayose, Babalola, others for Ekiti Covid-19 response

Ekiti State governor, Mr Kayode Fayemi, has set up a 47-member panel of eminent citizens of the state, including three former governors, to help mobilise resources to combat COVID-19 pandemic. Nigeria records new coronavirus deaths as cases increase to 210

Two more people have died of COVID-19 in Nigeria, bringing the total number of fatalities in the country so far to four, Nigeria Centre for Disease Control announced late Friday. The country has also confirmed 20 new cases of the coronavirus, the centre said on Twitter. The deaths occured in Lagos and Edo States. The agency said 20 new cases were recorded in Lagos, Abuja, Osun, Ondo and Edo States. Ondo reported its first case. We won’t release coronavirus corpses to families - FG

More than a million cases of coronavirus have been registered globally, according to the latest figures from Johns Hopkins University - another grim milestone as the world grapples with the spreading pandemic. Lagos discharges another batch of 11 coronavirus patients

Lagos State government on Thursday confirmed release of 11 patients, who have been receiving treatment for COVID-19 at Infectious Disease Hospital, Yaba.
