Two more people have died of COVID-19 in Nigeria, bringing the total number of fatalities in the country so far to four, Nigeria Centre for Disease Control announced late Friday. The country has also confirmed 20 new cases of the coronavirus, the centre said on Twitter. The deaths occured in Lagos and Edo States. Nigeria has been excluded from the list of 25 countries to benefit from the World Bank’s $1.9 billion first set of emergency support operations for developing countries around the world, using a dedicated, fast-track facility for COVID-19 response.
