Mr Ben Ubeh, chairman of Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in Taraba State, has died after being crushed by a truck conveying goods along Jalingo-Yola Expressway. The incident occurred on Sunday morning in Zing, a community along the expressway, witnesses said. President, Yoruba Council of Elders (YCE), Mr Idowu Sofola is dead. He died in Lagos on Friday, aged 84, according to Secretary General of the YCE, Mr Kunle Olajide. The prominent jurist, bencher and former President of Nigerian Bar Association took over from Mr Adeyinka Adebayo, who died last year.
