Police confirm kidnap of 3 persons on Ibadan-Ijebu highway

The Police Command in Oyo on Tuesday, confirmed the abduction of three persons at Onipe village, on Ijebu-Ode-Ibadan Road in Oluyole Local Government Area of the State. Journalists gathered that gunmen had at about 8:20 a.m. on Monday, emerged from the bush around Onipe community, shot sporadically into the air before taking away their victims to an unknown destination. FG alerts authorities to plans of attacks on Abuja, Lagos, other airports

Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) says it has received an alert from the ministry of aviation over planned attacks on airports across the country. This was contained in a memo signed by S.M. Mamman, FAAN deputy general manager of administration and logistics, and addressed to airport chiefs of security. Gunmen kill 4 in fresh attack on Ebonyi community

Four persons were reportedly killed, yesterday, when gunmen attacked a community in Ohauwkwu Local Government Area of Ebonyi State. The attack came barely two weeks after herders attacked the Egedegede community in Ishielu council, killing more than 20 persons. Gunmen had attacked five communities in the state, including Egedege, Obegu, Amazu, Nkalagu and Umuhuali on March 29. A number of persons were reported killed in the attack. Civil Defence arrests 50 armed herdsmen involved in kidnapping, banditry, others

Operatives of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps have arrested no fewer than 50 armed herdsmen in the past one week, Commandant-General of the NSCDC, Ahmed Audi, has said. Gunmen open fire on vehicles on Kaduna highway, kill nine, abduct many

No fewer than nine persons were killed by bandits while an unspecified number were abducted along Kaduna-Kachia road in Kaduna State by bandits.
