Kanu’s trial for terrorism to proceed after court strikes out 8 out of 15 charges

Nigeria's separatist leader Nnamdi Kanu should stand trial and answer to charges that include terrorism and broadcasting falsehoods, a High Court judge ruled on Friday. Kanu, a British citizen who leads the banned Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), denies all the charges, which are linked to broadcasts he made between 2018 and last year. A federal judge ruled on Thursday that all trials of terrorism cases in Nigeria will henceforth be held in camera. Terrorists threaten to kill abducted train passengers if FG fails to meet demands

The bandits, who abducted passengers on a Kaduna-bound train last month, have threatened to kill them if the federal government fails to meet their demands. Terrorists invade military base in Kaduna, kill 15 soldiers, cart away weapons

Gunmen killed 15 soldiers and wounded more than a dozen others during an attack on an army base in Kaduna state, two army sources said on Tuesday, in the latest attack on security forces by armed gangs. Gunmen kill two FRSC officials in Anambra

Gunmen on Sunday killed two officials of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Ezinifite, Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra State. Terrorists invade railway facilities in Kaduna, less than 24 hours after deadly attack

The railway station in Gidan, Kaduna state, has been invaded by gunmen. Details of the attack which occurred on Tuesday are still sketchy, and it isn’t yet clear if there were casualties.
