Gunmen have killed 11 people in Bassa and Zangon Kataf local government areas of Plateau and Kaduna states, respectively. Victims of the Plateau incident were three women and two men. Two women were reportedly shot dead by suspected herders on their farm on Monday. Gunmen abduct journalist, 16 others in Delta

Suspected hoodlums have allegedly abducted a former Chairman of the Federated Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Bayelsa State Council, Julius Osahon, and several others. Armed persons Monday evening attacked a Kaduna-bound train carrying hundreds of passengers. The train, which left Abuja at about 6 p.m., was attacked between Katari and Rijana. Bandits attacked communities in Munya Local Government Area of Niger State, last weekend, forcing resident to flee. No fewer than six communities were reportedly affected in the attack that started on Saturday evening and continued up till Sunday evening. Kaduna State Government has said no fewer than 34 persons, including two soldiers, were killed in the Sunday night attack on Agban Kagoro in Kaura Local Government Area of the state by bandits.
