Gunmen invade Kogi community, kill 19, burn houses

Gunmen have killed no fewer than 19 people in Tawari community in Kogi Local Government Area of Kogi State, burning buildings, including the palace of the king of the community. Public Relations Officer of Kogi State Police Command, Mr Williams Anya, confirmed the development in an interview with our correspondent in Lokoja on Friday. He said a police assessment team had visited the community and that many buildings, including places of worship had been burnt. Gunmen abduct 5 persons in Taraba

Unknown gunmen suspected to be kidnappers have abducted five persons in Gassol local government area of Taraba state. The incident, according to eye witness account, occurred between Sabongida to Wuro Jam in Gassol local government area of Taraba state on Wednesday. The eye witness,Musa Sabongida, said the victims were abducted at a bush while returning from Tella town around 5pm. Herdsmen attack Abuja-bound train - Officials

Authorities of Nigeria Railway Corporation (NRC) and Kaduna State Railway Police Command, yesterday, confirmed the attack on an Abuja-Kaduna Train Service (AKTS). 1,000 Nigerian Christians killed by terrorists in 2019 –Reports

A new report on the persecution of Christians in Nigeria has found that about 1,000 adherents of the Christian faith have been killed by Islamic militants in 2019 alone.
