Tuface backs off, cancels anti-govt protest

Popular artiste, Innocent Idibia, better known as Tuface, has canceled the much-publicised February 6 anti-government protest, citing “security challenges”. In an Instagram post and a short video via his official handle @official2baba late Saturday, Tuface announced the cancellation of the protest scheduled to hold in Abuja, Lagos and other parts of the country. Three hundred and seventy six people were killed, 102 others injured and 2,308 houses damaged in Southern Kaduna communal clashes between May and December last year, a federal government report said. Alhaji Abdullahi Bello-Charanci, Director, State Security Services (SSS) in Kano State is dead. Commissioner of Police in the state, Mr Rabiu Yusuf, confirmed the death on Saturday in Kano. “It is confirmed that the state DSS Director is dead.
