The Federal Government has reviewed downward budgetary provision for the State House, Aso Rock Presidential Villa in the 2017 fiscal year. Permanent Secretary in the State House Mr. Jalal Arabi who disclosed this yesterday said government had re-prioritised projects in its Medical Centre and suspended most of its capital expenditure proposals in this year. The Senate has commenced the process of amending the Nigeria Customs Service Act which aims at preventing appointment of Comptroller General from outside the Service. National Union of Electricity Employees, NUEE, on Thursday said the Kaduna Electric, has terminated the appointments of 530 of its members. Kaduna State Chairman of NUEE, Ephraim James, said that the company issued sack letters to the workers on February 1. “The termination letters are being dispatched in batches, but so far we can confirm that 530 affected personnel had so far received their letters,“ he said. Nigerian troops have arrested some 3,332 Boko Haram suspects within three weeks, a senior commander said Thursday.
