Insurance Trust Fund management rejects suspension, says Minister acted without Buhari’s approval

Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund (NSITF) says its management remains operational, despite being suspended by Mr Chris Ngige, minister of labour and employment on behalf of President Muhammadu Buhari. In a letter dated July 1, 2020 and addressed to Mr Adebayo Somefun, managing director of NSITF, Ngige said President Muhammadu Buhari had approved the suspension of the management over “misappropriation and other gross misconduct”. Oil workers give FG ultimatum to fix bad roads, dismantle road blocks

Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers has given Federal Government a two-week ultimatum to rehabilitate bad roads across the country. Ganduje eases lockdown in Kano, bans street hawking

Governor Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State has announced substantial easing of lockdown imposed on the state to check the spread of novel coronavirus. Mr Ganduje made the announcement on Thursday in Kano while briefing journalists on Covid-19 pandemic at Government House, Kano. Ondo gov’s wife, late commissioner’s wife test positive for Coronavirus

Wife of Ondo state governor, Mrs Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu, has tested positive for Covid-19, according to a source at Ondo government house. Church loses eight pastors, over 8,000 members to Boko Haram insurgency

Buhari appoints commissioners for RMAFC, Civil Service Commission

Coronavirus kills Ondo health commissioner

Commissioner for Health in Ondo State, Mr Wahab Adegbenro, has died from Covid-19 complications.
