With Nigerians getting ready for 2019 general elections, Founder of One Love Family, Satguru Maharaj, has called for the adoption of what he tagged Africanocracy or divine government.

He said with the myriads of problems facing the county, it requires no soothsayer to know that both the Parliamentary and Presidential systems of government have failed to work in Nigeria.

He made the call in Ibadan, Oyo State capital, on the occasion of his 71st Birthday anniversary celebration.

The spiritual leader also warned foreign countries, notably United States of America, to desist from predicting break up of Nigeria as an aftermath of the forthcoming polls, insisted that his earlier prediction that there will be no more war in the country still stands.

Satguru Maharaj explained that his proposed 'Africanocracy or Divine Government' should be an all-inclusive or amalgamation where the leadership or stakeholders of all the various aspiring political parties will have inputs, in the overall interest and well being of the nation.

He emphasised the need for the intensification of the ongoing fight against corruption in Nigeria saying this is highly desirable to facilitate massive investment and socioeconomic development in the country.

While attributing the incessant social unrest and political thuggery in Nigeria mainly to the massive unemployment in the land, Maharaj urged government to step up efforts in the areas of infrastructural development to facilitate industrialization.

He also enjoined authorities to deal decisively with political leaders who allow their followers to foment acts of thuggery in all its ramifications.

He furthermore frowned at religious acrimonies in Nigeria, stating that nobody can fight for God.

He said, "The Creator does not send you to fight your fellow brothers in the name of religion. We don't need religious war in the country. We need peace. We need love. We need knowledge. Let us give peace a chance. As we go physical, we should also go spiritual."
