UK activists launch new party by stealing food

A group of Extinction Rebellion activists launched their new political party in today by shoplifting from a supermarket 'because poverty sucks'. Five members of the new Beyond Politics party walked out of a Sainsbury's store in Camden with trolleys laden with food. They claimed it was an attempt to highlight the instability of food distribution and supplies globally. The group were not stopped by staff, though two activists did clash with security guards. Police officer runs mad, kills colleague in indiscriminate shooting

A police officer, Mr Monday Gabriel, on Sunday shot dead a sergeant, Felix Okago, in Ikoyi, Lagos State. It was gathered that both policemen were on special duty in a Federal Government facility in Ikoyi when Gabriel reportedly went berserk and started firing indiscriminately and one of the bullets hit Okago. 875 people commit suicide during lockdown in Nepal

A total of 875 people have committed suicide during the lockdown period in Nepal. The country has been under lockdown, against coronavirus disease, since March 24. According to the data compiled by the Nepal Police, the suicide cases, across the country, increased by 16 per cent in the first month of the lockdown. A total of 482 suicide cases were filed during mid-March to mid-April in police stations across the country against 414 cases for the period between mid-February and mid-March. Police charge journalist for ‘causing annoyance’ towards Buhari’s minister

After 17 days in detention, Nigeria Police Force has charged a journalist, Mr Rotimi Jolayemi, aka Oba Akewi, for acting in a manner that can cause ‘annoyance’ and ‘hatred’ for Minister of Information and Culture, Mr Lai Mohammed.
