Strangely

A group of Extinction Rebellion activists launched their new political party in today by shoplifting from a supermarket 'because poverty sucks'. Five members of the new Beyond Politics party walked out of a Sainsbury's store in Camden with trolleys laden with food. They claimed it was an attempt to highlight the instability of food distribution and supplies globally. The group were not stopped by staff, though two activists did clash with security guards. They had earlier used a loudspeaker to proclaim that they were giving away free food. The activists also put stickers on food items that read: 'New lower…
Skywatchers along a narrow band from west Africa to the Arabian Peninsula, India and southern China will witness on Sunday the most dramatic “ring of fire” solar eclipse to shadow the Earth in years. Annular eclipses occur when the Moon — passing between Earth and the Sun — is not quite close enough to our planet to completely obscure sunlight, leaving a thin ring of the solar disc visible. They occur every year or two, and can only been seen from a narrow pathway across the planet. Remarkably, the eclipse on Sunday arrives on the northern hemisphere’s longest day of…

Ng, a Special Chair Professor at the School of Economics of Fudan University, stressed that single Chinese men would have more and more difficulties in securing an…
