Bandits kill six, injure eight in fresh attacks on Kaduna communities

Some bandits in separate attacks reportedly killed six persons in two local government areas of Kaduna State. The local government areas are Chikun and Giwa. The State Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, who confirmed the attacks on Saturday, said security agencies informed the state of an attack on Maskoro community of Kakau Ward, and Akunakwo of Gwagwada Ward, both in Chikun local government area. Herdsmen shatter woman’s jaw, blast off finger in Ogun

Some suspected Fulani herdsmen have reportedly shot a woman, Morenikeji Salami, while going to her site on the Oru-Awa Road in the Ijebu-North Local Government Area of Ogun State. The woman’s injuries were captured in a video that went viral on Saturday. Bandits strike first, kill 7 vigilantes planning raid on them in Niger state

Seven vigilantes in Mashegu council area of Niger State have been killed in an ambush by armed bandits. The incident occurred on Monday when the vigilantes were planning to attack the bandits. It was learnt that informants told the bandits of the vigilantes’ meeting. Deputy VC of Deeper Life Church’s varsity kidnapped

Johnson Fatokun, deputy vice-chancellor of Anchor University, has been kidnapped by armed men in Nasarawa. The Anchor University is a private institution owned by Deeper Christian Life Ministry.
