Three policemen and two civilians were reportedly shot dead by some gunmen at the Katsina-Ala residence of the Chairman of Katsina-Ala Local Government Area of Benue State, Alfred Avalumun Atera. 17 people, including village head of Kaigar Malami, were kidnapped Monday night when bandits attacked the village in Danmusa Local Government Area of Katsina State. Head of Service (HoS) in Edo State, Anthony Okungbowa, has been released by kidnappers three days after he was abducted.
