PFN chairman, wife abducted at prayer camp in Kaduna

Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers have abducted Emmanuel Bako, Kaduna state chairman of Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), and Sandra Bako, his wife. Hundred of people, mostly women and children, have fled their settlements after a fierce attack on villages in Hawul Local Government Area, Borno State, by suspected insurgents. Several people are dead in northeast Nigeria after Boko Haram militants raided a mostly Christian village and burnt down a church on Christmas Eve. Gunmen invade Benue Council Chairman’s residence, kill 3 policemen, 2 others

Three policemen and two civilians were reportedly shot dead by some gunmen at the Katsina-Ala residence of the Chairman of Katsina-Ala Local Government Area of Benue State, Alfred Avalumun Atera. Gunmen kidnap 22 persons, burn police vehicle in Katsina, Kano

Gunmen, on Tuesday night, seized 21 persons, consisting of a community chief, from two villages in Batsari council area of Katsina State. Bandits kidnap village head, two wives, 14 others in Katsina

17 people, including village head of Kaigar Malami, were kidnapped Monday night when bandits attacked the village in Danmusa Local Government Area of Katsina State. Police rescue 84 school children after gun battle with kidnappers in Katsina

Nigeria Police say they have rescued at least 84 schoolchildren who were abducted on Saturday. They say the children were seized by gunmen as they returned home to Mahuta village after taking part in a religious ceremony. Boko Haram suicide bomber kills 3 in Borno

A suicide bomber suspected to be Boko Haram has detonated explosives in Borno’s central town, killing no fewer than three persons. The bomber sneaked into Konduga, a town some 35 kilometres to Maiduguri, the state capital on Friday and blew himself up. Gunmen attack Zamfara Emir’s convoy, kill eight
