Again, bandits kill 7 farmers, abduct 30 others in Katsina

No fewer than seven farmers including a nursing mother have been killed by bandits who attacked three communities of Tashar Bama, Dogun Muazu, and Unguwar Maigayya villages of Sabuwa Local Government Area of Katsina State. Lawmaker representing the area at the state house of Assembly, Ibrahim Machika, confirmed the killing during plenary session on Monday while sponsoring a motion on the need to reinforce security in some of the villages in his constituency. Maina arrested in Niger Republic

Security agencies in Niger Republic have arrested the former Chairman of the defunct Pension Reform Task Team, Abdulrasheed Maina, in that country. A top security officer said Maina was arrested by Nigerian Security agencies on Monday. United Nations says more than 100 civilians were killed during an attack on farmers in Borno state on Saturday. Seven killed in fresh attack on Kaduna community

No fewer than seven persons have been killed in fresh attacks and reprisals in Jemaa Local Government Area of Kaduna State. The incident occurred in the early hours of Sunday at Ungwan Bido village where some local residents were killed and four injured. Also, two children are still missing. Boko Haram kills 45 farmers in Borno

Members of the Boko Haram sect have killed 45 farmers in Zamarmari area of Jere local government area of Borno state. The farmers were killed at Kwashabe village, about 20 kilometers north of Maiduguri, Borno capital. Nasiru Usman, one of the farmers who escaped during the attack, went to town with the news. Barely two days after her abduction, the wife of the Chief of Staff to the Ondo State governor, Olugbenga Ale, has regained her freedom. Iran's most senior nuclear scientist Mohsen Fakhrizadeh has been assassinated near the capital Tehran, the country's defence ministry has confirmed. N’Delta militants blow up two pipelines in Bayelsa, reducing Nigeria’s crude exports -Eni

Eni declared force majeure on exports of Nigerian Brass River crude oil following pipeline explosions in Bayelsa state, the company said on Tuesday. A source with direct knowledge of the matter said the notice of force majeure was dated Sunday. Court jails six foreign nationals for crude oil theft in N’Delta
