Security agencies on internal security operations in parts of southern Kaduna State have confirmed that Gora Gan community in Zangon Kataf local government came under attack by gunmen on Thursday night, killing seven persons. As many as 50 Nigerian refugees living in Nigerien town of Tumuk are feared killed after an attack by suspected Boko Haram insurgents. The attack reportedly took place on Sunday during which residents were shot mostly at close range and houses torched. Most of the inhabitants of the town were Nigerians from Abadam Local Government Area of Borno state in who fled to neighboring Niger. There were over 40,000 Nigerians in the town. Two foreign nationals kidnapped in Ibadan

Oyo State Police Command yesterday confirmed the kidnap of two foreigners in Ibadan, the state capital. It was gathered that the two foreigners, who are Indians, were kidnapped last Wednesday. They were kidnapped around 4:00 p.m. at a pharmaceutical firm near Toll Gate on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway. They were said to be driving out of the company’s premises when the kidnappers, who were trailing them, opened fire on their vehicle’s tyres, which forced the vehicles to a halt.
