Gunmen abduct National Population commissioner in Rivers

A commissioner with the National Population Commission in Bayelsa State, Mrs. Gloria Izonfuo, has been abducted by unknown gunmen. It was gathered that Izonfuo, a former Head of Service in Bayelsa State, was abducted at the Ogbakiri junction along the East-West Road in Rivers State Sunday evening while she was travelling to Port Harcourt from Brass in Bayelsa. She was reportedly whisked away by the gunmen alongside her driver and maid. Her abductors are demanding N500 million ransom for their release. Gunmen kill 11 in Plateau, Benue communities

No fewer than seven people were killed Sunday night by suspected herdsmen in the rural communities of Barkin-Ladi and Riyom Local Government Areas of Plateau State. Gunmen kill 5 policemen, couple in Imo restaurant

Gunmen have killed five police officers and a couple identified as Mr and Mrs Nwagu during an attack at Okpala community in Ngor-Okpala LGA, Imo state. The incident occurred on Friday around 8 am. Boko Haram kills eleven in Yobe community

Islamist group, Boko Haram, has killed at least eleven civilians during an attack at Buni Gari in Gujba Local Government Area of Yobe State.
