FG names university after former Western Region governor, Adebayo

Federal University, Oye Ekiti, has been re-named Adeyinka Adebayo University, after the late military governor of the defunct Western Region. Acting President Yemi Osinbajo made this known on Saturday at the funeral service held for the late leader at All Saints Anglican Church, Iyin-Ekiti. Rouhani says Iran wants interaction with the world - TV

President Hassan Rouhani said on Saturday that Iran's presidential election displayed the Islamic Republic's willingness to interact with the international community. In his first speech after winning re-election, Rouhani said the vote on Friday showed that Iranians rejected calls by his hardline opponents to stop reforms. Osinbajo bans touting at all ports, Apapa Port to run 24/7

Acting President Yemi Osinbajo, SAN, has directed the resumption of 24-hour operations at the Apapa Port and banned outright touting by officials or unofficial persons at any port; be it air, land or sea ports in Nigeria. Nigerian Army has announced that it would conduct the zonal screening for its 76th regular recruitment intake for trades/non trades men and women from May 27 to June 9. No fewer than 10,000 Nigerians have died between January and May 2017 while trying to illegally migrate through the Mediterranean Sea and the deserts, Nigeria Immigration Service has said.
