Funmi Olaitan, Ibadan Tragedy struck along Eleyele-Ologuneru road, Ibadan, yesterday as a petrol tanker fire claimed the life of a yet-to-be-identified woman and destroyed property worth millions of naira. The fire which started around 11am according to eye witness was triggered when the truck loaded with 33,000 litres of diesel had difficulty ascending the hilly Ologuneru road from Eleyele bridge axis of the road. The Senate has issued a two-week ultimatum to acting President Yemi Osinbajo to ensure submission of the budgets of 31 public establishments, including Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation and Nigerian Ports Authority, to the National Assembly in line with the provisions of the Nigerian Constitution and the Fiscal Responsibility Act. Chief of Army Staff, Lt.-Gen. Tukur Buratai has warned officers and soldiers of the army to steer clear of politics or have themselves to blame.
