Osinbajo receives 2017 Budget from National Assembly

The Presidency on Friday confirmed that the National Assembly has formally transmitted the 2017 Appropriation Bill recently passed into law to the Executive. Senior Special Assistant to the Acting President, Mr. Laolu Akande, confirmed this on his Twitter handle, @Akandeoj. He said the document was formally received in the office of Acting President, Yemi Osinbajo, on Friday. Osinbajo signs three executive orders

In exercise of the presidential authorities, Acting President Yemi Osinbajo on Thursday signed three executive orders that will significantly change some of the ways government business and operations are conducted in the country forthwith. Students in public boarding schools are fed with an average of N200 a day per student, Daily Trust investigations have shown. This fact contrasts sharply with what their leaders at the national and state levels spend to feed themselves as reflected in their annual budgets. Army yet to make arrests after Buratai’s warning, says spokesman

Following the revelation by Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lt.-Gen. Shortly after losing mother, sister, NNPC GMD, Baru loses 21-year-old son

Tragedy has struck the Maikanti’s family once again. Group Managing Director (GMD) of Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Dr Maikanti Baru, has lost his son. Earlier in April, his mother, Hajiya Fatima Baru, died in her hometown of Misau in Bauchi State. The son died in Dubai, it was reported thursday evening. Legal Practitioner’s Privilege Committee (LPPC), has unveiled a list of candidates to be considered for the rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) for 2017.
