APC says Ndume must abide by party position

All Progressives Congress, APC has faulted Mr Ali Ndume for opposing Mr Adams Oshiomhole’s position on the Senate presidency. Mr Isa-Onilu, APC National Publicity Secretary, said Ndume had no choice but to abide by the party’s decision on the matter if indeed he was a true APC member. He said the decision to endorse Lawan was not that of Oshiomhole alone but that of the party, including President Muhammadu Buhari, the party’s National Working Committee, state governors and other respected party leaders. He reminded the senator of the supremacy of the party. The party’s spokesman added, “The ticket he is…
Peoples Democratic Party, PDP has said its elected senators and members of House of Representatives are constitutionally eligible to lead the National Assembly. It, therefore, described as laughable, move by leadership of APC and President Muhammadu Buhari to impose leaders on both chambers. National Publicity Secretary of PDP, Mr Kola Ologbondiyan, stated the position of the party in a statement in Abuja. He…

Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has urged President Muhammadu Buhari and All Progressives Congress (APC) to stop their “unnecessary fabrications, smear campaign” and prepare to face the opposition’s legal team at Presidential Election Tribunal. Responding to a petition by spokesman for the President’s campaign, Mr. Festus Keyamo, PDP said Buhari is overweighed by the burden of “illegitimacy”, following overwhelming evidence before the tribunal that he “stole” the presidential mandate. In an email exchange with our correspondent Monday night, spokesman for PDP, Mr Kola Ologbondiyan, described the allegation as “a lame one”. Ologbondiyan described it as an attempt at blackmailing the tribunal…

The court, through the presiding judge, Mr Tom…

Secretary-General of Arewa Consultative Forum, Mr Anthony Sani, speaks with GODWIN ISENYO on a number of national issues including why the forum was against presidential candidate of Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar, in the recent election What is your view on the just concluded general elections in the country? I think there was a kind of improvement over the past elections. Nigerians, who have become more enlightened, helped to change what used to hold sway in the previous elections in which only big names called the shots. In a way, plutocracy and kleptocracy are giving way to democracy that is…
