Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC on Sunday performed the last step in the conduct of 2019 presidential election by opening National Collation Centre for the collation and announcement of results. Saraki defeated in Kwara

Senate President Bukola Saraki lost in his bid to return to Senate in Saturday’s National Assembly elections in Karate Central Senatorial District. Mr Saraki, who contested on the platform of Peoples Democratic Party, lost to Mr Ibrahim Oloriegbe of All Progressives Congress. Speaker of House of Representatives has been declared winner of Tafawa Balewa/Bogoro Federal Constituency election in Bauchi State. Gombe gov loses senatorial bid

Governor of Gombe State, Mr Ibrahim Dankwambo, has lost his bid for the Senate seat of Gombe North Senatorial District. He lost to All Progressive Congress (APC) candidate, Mr Sa’idu Alkali, in Saturday’s National Assembly election. Nigerian Bar Association has released its first report based on the organisation’s observation of Saturday’s general election. In a statement signed by Mr Afam Osigwe, the association’s chairman of Election Working Group (EWG), NBA noted that failure of card readers and other technical hitches affected the elections.
