INEC fixes new date for Kogi, Bayelsa governorship elections

Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has postponed Kogi and Bayelsa State governorship elections. The commission in a statement signed by Mr Festus Okoye, Head of Voters Education, said the two states’ elections, scheduled to hold on November 2, have been moved to Saturday, November 16, 2019. Ekweremadu pledges to retire from Senate in 2023

Deputy President of the Senate, Mr Ike Ekweremadu, says he will retire from Senate in 2023. As such, the lawmaker said that he will no longer seek re-election to the Red Chambers. Presidential election tribunal warns against media analyses of cases

President of Court of Appeal, Mrs Zainab Bulkachuwa, has threatened to deal with lawyers, petitioners and the media found analysing in the media any petition before the presidential election tribunal. 2019 elections: UK spends £795m on #NotTooYoungToRun movt – Envoy

United Kingdom had spent £795 million to prosecute the #NotTooYoungToRun movement, British High Commissioner to Nigeria, Catriona Laing, said on Tuesday.
