Bandits abduct female students of federal university in Zamfara

On Sunday, a group of bandits raided a female hostel at the Federal University in Gusau, Zamfara State. The assailants entered the rented female hostel in Sabon Gida village in Bungudu, locked up the two civilian guards, and stole their phones. The bandits then kidnapped two female students from the Microbiology Department of the university. In response to the incident, the police tactical team was dispatched to the area, but the culprits had already fled with the victims to an unknown location. Criminals take advantage of ‘low circulation of redesigned naira notes to massively produce counterfeit’ - NSCDC

Gunmen invade Abuja estate, abduct 9 residents

Gunmen have kidnapped no fewer than nine residents from Grow Homes Estate along Kuchibiyi in the Kubuwa area of the Federal Capital Territory. Islamist militants have killed at least 25 people in an attack in a fishing town in Borno state, police and residents said on Thursday.
