Inyang Ekwo, the presiding judge, gave the order on Friday following an ex-parte motion marked, FHC/ABJ/CS/1242/2022 filed by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). Kaduna State Government has said 1,789 citizens were kidnapped by bandits in six months. The government said 161 bandits were killed in various encounters with security agencies within the same period. Commissioner for Internal Security and Homes Affairs in the state, Samuel Aruwan, disclosed this while presenting the second and third security situation reports for 2022 to the state government on Friday. Eighteen people were killed in different communities by suspected herders in the Guma Local Government Area of Benue State. The incident, according to locals, happened on Thursday at Ukohol and other adjourning villages as the suspected herders went on killing spree.
