DSS reports arrest of ISWAP Commander who bombed Kogi during Buhari’s visit

Department of State Services (DSS) says it has arrested a commander of Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP), Abdulmumin Otaru aka Abu Mikdad, in connection with the explosion around the palace of the Ohinoyi of Ebiraland in Kogi State. Four persons were killed in the incident that occurred last Thursday when President Muhammadu Buhari visited the state to commission some projects executed by Governor Yahaya Bello. The DSS in a statement on Wednesday by its Public Relations Officer, Peter Afunanya, said one of Otaru’s associates, Saidu Suleiman was also apprended. Gunmen attack Imo ex-gov, kill 4 police escorts

Four police officers have been reportedly killed during an attack on the convoy of Ikedi Ohakim, a former governor of Imo state. The incident was said to have happened on Monday evening at Oriagu in Ehime Mbano LGA of Imo state. Gunmen bomb Anambra police station, free suspects, cart away arms

Gunmen, yesterday, attacked the Divisional Police Station in Ihiala community, Ihiala Local Government Area of Anambra State, setting it on fire. Terrorists kill 4, abduct 100 farmers from Niger state communities over failure to pay levies

Bandits have killed no fewer than four farmers and abducted over 100 others including women and children from 14 communities in Mashegu and Rafi local government areas of Niger State in the last three weeks. Bandits abduct yet another 16 from Kaduna community

Barely 24 hours after the kidnap of 45 residents in Aku Community, bandits have again abducted 16 people in another attack on Angwan Pa community in the same Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State. Gunmen kill at least 38 villagers in Southern Kaduna

Gunmen killed at least 38 villagers in Kaduna state, residents and a local community group said on Tuesday.
