The railway station in Gidan, Kaduna state, has been invaded by gunmen. Details of the attack which occurred on Tuesday are still sketchy, and it isn’t yet clear if there were casualties. Several passengers who boarded the train that was attacked on Monday night are yet to be accounted for, according to Kaduna State government. Gunmen have killed 11 people in Bassa and Zangon Kataf local government areas of Plateau and Kaduna states, respectively. Victims of the Plateau incident were three women and two men. Three other persons sustained gunshot injuries, while a bus was burnt by the gunmen, who carted away motorcycles. Four persons, including a pastor of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry, were reportedly killed in separate attacks on some communities in the Guma Local Government Area of Benue State. Two women were reportedly shot dead by suspected herders on their farm on Monday. Gunmen abduct journalist, 16 others in Delta

Suspected hoodlums have allegedly abducted a former Chairman of the Federated Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Bayelsa State Council, Julius Osahon, and several others. Armed persons Monday evening attacked a Kaduna-bound train carrying hundreds of passengers. The train, which left Abuja at about 6 p.m., was attacked between Katari and Rijana. Bandits attacked communities in Munya Local Government Area of Niger State, last weekend, forcing resident to flee. No fewer than six communities were reportedly affected in the attack that started on Saturday evening and continued up till Sunday evening. Gunmen killed one person during an airport attack in the northern Nigerian state of Kaduna on Saturday afternoon, three sources working at the airport said, the latest in a series of attacks by gunmen in the north of the country. Kaduna State Government has said no fewer than 34 persons, including two soldiers, were killed in the Sunday night attack on Agban Kagoro in Kaura Local Government Area of the state by bandits.
